A Church Is Born

Have you ever wondered how some churches get started? It might be a different process for every church but in this video, Jeff Dunn, senior pastor of Christ United Methodist Church (Christ UMC) in Myrtle Beach, SC, tells the story of how the particular church where he serves began and has grown over the last 14 years.

When asked what drew her to the church, Judy Robertson, a member of Christ UMC since its early days said, “I didn’t feel comfortable at the church I was attending for some reason. My friend told me about Christ UMC and the thought of getting involved with a young church sounded exciting. Once I heard Jeff Dunn preach, I was convinced it was the right church for me.” Robertson said she likes the style of Dunn’s preaching and she said Dunn preaches the type of message she wants to hear.
