About Me

Welcome to my website! My name is Allison Dennis and I’m an experienced online marketing strategist and would be an asset to any organization looking for someone to maintain or update their current website or develop a simple website from the ground up. In my last position at Lake Trust Credit Union in Lansing, Michigan, I maintained and updated the content and graphics on the credit union’s member-facing website.

I also used a variety of email software programs and found the technical side of websites and email software programs easy to learn. In addition, I implemented several online marketing strategies, including financial calculators, triggered email tracks, scheduled email tracks, and other traffic drivers. I was also responsible for the reporting and analysis of these online marketing tools.

While employed at Lake Trust, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University. My studies facilitated the mastery of my writing and communication skills, which I promptly used at Lake Trust in the areas of organizational and employee communication, as well as researching an employee intranet.

As both a communications consultant and an online marketing strategist, my passion has always been in the content development for online marketing or employee training manuals or newsletters. That passion has reached beyond my professional writing to include writing more personal articles about how transitions in life can affect relationships with family, friends, work, and even spiritual relationships.

The passion and desire to broaden my writing skills to various types of media led me to enroll in Full Sail University’s online Masters’ degree in New Media Journalism. I graduated in October 2012. My hope is to find a career in writing or marketing that allows me to not only use the skills I’ve developed through my vast work experiences, but also unleashes the passion I have found through my varied educational experiences.
